Mission Statement:
To protect and preserve the lives and property of the citizens in the Krum Fire District, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness with a highly trained and properly equipped organization.
The Krum Fire Department is located in Krum, Texas, approximately 4 miles west of Denton.
The Krum Fire Department is a combination department, meaning we employ full time, part time, and volunteer personnel. Krum Fire Department is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We operate with three shifts that have five full time personnel per shift that work hand in hand with part time and volunteer personnel.
We provide advanced life support, fire suppression and rescue operations to the City of Krum and the rural Denton County area surrounding Krum. We also provide advanced life support to the Town of Ponder and the rural Denton County area surrounding Ponder. We provide services to an estimated 30,000 people. Our fire district is 78 square miles and our emergency service district is 140 square miles.
